Guidance for Selecting Population

The lifetime risk is calculated using baseline cancer incidence rates and corresponding survival functions. The population menu provides the ability to estimate lifetime risk for specific populations. The default selection "U.S. 2015-2019" represents the general U.S. population, based on the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) cancer incidence rates for the years 2015 through 2019.

The population menu also provides the ability to estimate lifetime risk for subsets of the U.S. Population, as well as other select countries and periods.
